On May 12, 2008, a strong earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, China, causing huge casualties and property losses. In the face of the disaster, the Chinese government quickly launched emergency rescue operations and embarked on post-disaster reconstruction work. Among them, the temporary housing project is an important part of the reconstruction work, which aims to provide temporary living places for the affected people.
Thousands of homes were destroyed and millions of people displaced after the earthquake. In order to settle these affected people as soon as possible, the government and all sectors of society acted quickly, mobilized a large number of materials and manpower, and began to build temporary housing. These resettlement houses are made of light steel structure prefabricated house which can be quickly built and have basic living functions, such as warmth, wind and rain protection. At the same time, these resettlement houses have also become an important place for psychological counseling and social services after the disaster, helping the affected people gradually return to normal life, and laying the foundation for the eventual reconstruction of their homes.
CCP provided 40000 sqm of the prefabricated house within one month for this project to support our government and make our own contribution to the people in the disaster area.
