Recently, a catastrophic mudslide struck Jilong Port in Xizang triggered by heavy rainfall. Tons of sediment and boulders surged downhill, severely damaging local residential areas and traffic facilities. The disaster destroyed numerous houses, collapsed major road sections, and paralyzed water and power infrastructure. A large number of local residents were forced to evacuate and became displaced, placing enormous pressure on emergency resettlement work. Located on the plateau, Jilong features extreme temperature differences and harsh natural conditions. Traditional disaster relief tents, with poor wind resistance, heat insulation and structural stability, are unable to support long-term transitional settlement, bringing great challenges to on-site disaster rescue operations.
